2017-2018 Season!!! Centennial Swimming & Diving

posted Aug 11, 2017, 7:49 AM by CAC Webmaster

Hi all,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 season!  We are VERY excited about this upcoming season!  Many plans have been put into this upcoming season.

This season, we will have a new athlete evaluation night on Tuesday, September 12 from 6:00-7:00 PM at William Tennent HS pool.

If you know anyone who might be interested in our team, please refer them to this night.  It is also a night where you may bring in your registration forms and payment too.

There are three attachments to this e-mail.

  1. Program Information - explains the swim groups, practice times, equipment required, and meet information
  2. Registration Information - registration form, fees, and concussion form
  3. Parent Volunteer Information - all parents are required to assist at meets; there are forms to be filled out for what kind of volunteer position you would like to help the team with during meets as well as a Safe Kids Volunteer form too. With the increase in safety at schools as well as our insurance company, we need the form completed in order to make sure everyone is safe. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

Team Suit and Clothing Information

I will have more on this soon! I am meeting with the ladies tomorrow who are running the show. If anyone is interested in helping out, please let me know!

United States Swimming

We are also encouraging participation in United States Swimming. There is a description in the program information document. US Swimming is in addition to SAL dual meets.  Athletes are offered four meets to participate in during the season.  Athletes  may swim in as many US Meets as their schedule allows.  Three meets are close to CAC and one meet would require an overnight stay at Penn State!

The major piece of info we need is to know if you are interested and if so, are you willing to commit to any of the first two meets - Upper Dublin and Penn State.  Entries for those meets close quickly - we need to know by Sunday, September 3 so we may enter the meet.

Coaching Staff

As far as our coaching staff goes, at this point everyone is returning! We also will be adding in a new addition of a swim coach, Conor Lynskey. Conor was a swimmer for CAC since he was little. He just graduated high school and will be attending Bucks County Community College. Welcome Conor!

If you have any questions on understanding the new set up of the paperwork, please feel free to give me a call (Meghan 215-313-5872).

Have a nice day,

Meghan & Jamie
