Meet Results:
Before we get to the results of the meet, there has been a sad trend taking place for meet workers. Normally all of our e-mails try to be upbeat and positive.  This section has no other choice but to explain what took place on Saturday. At the boys meet, the same several families worked the meet, sometimes with husband and wife both working (thank you!) and others offering to help, while others sit in the stands and do not help out.  Thus, the coaching staff ended up covering the ready bench and was never able to watch the meet for stroke instruction, correction, etc.  This is very, very disappointing! In all the years that we have all coached this has NEVER EVER HAPPENED before - we are supposed to be a TEAM - together everyone achieves more - let's not let this happen again - please work together and step up.  It takes over 20 individuals for a meet to run. We would like to not have to return to the old days where families were assigned to work. We would think as adults we could work together for the sake of our children.

Girls - LMSD 453, CAC 163.  There were 41 personal bests.
Boys - LMSD 494, CAC 100.  There were 30 personal bests.

Athletes of the Meet:

Diving: Tori Ferro - Tori continues to perform very well in practice and it transfers over to the meets.  Congratulations, Tori!
Girls: Sam Hatter and Courtney Chapman - Sam dropped over 10 seconds in the 100 free and over 2 in the 50 free; while Courtney had person bests in each of her individual races - 100 back, 50 free, and 200 IM.  Well done, girls!!
Boys:  Thomas Peta and Joe Gwynn - Thomas improved in the 50 free by 1.18 seconds and in the 100 free by 7.38 seconds; Joe Gwynn swam to imporved times in 100 free, 100 breast, and 50 free.  In all of his events, Joe improved by at least one second.  Super swimming boys!!

Next Meet:
The next dual meet is Saturday, January 9.  Our opponents have not been determined - we swim another team from the Central Division.  Once their results have been finalized, the league determines the opponent.  Once they do, we will let you know.

Odd Age Meet: Sunday, January 10
This is the last week to turn in your entries.  All athletes 13 & Under are required to take part.  This also includes pre-team members that Coach Karen spoke too. We have included a meet information page too.  Please remember to get your ads for the program as well as event sponsorships.  These are critical ways for the club to increase its revenue for the meet. All parents will be expected/assigned to work the meet in at least one session.

We wish you a happy holiday season!
Meghan and Jamie
