CAC Weekly Update 10/17-10/22

posted Oct 16, 2016, 5:23 PM by CAC Webmaster
Hello all! There are a few important details this week. At this point, we have touched on all the strokes but fly. After we work on fly, we are going to be starting to swim some more while incorporating the drills for the strokes into sets.

Diving Practice
Diving practice will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. With having time trials on Monday and the inter squad meet on Thursday

Time trials-
Time trials will be held on Monday and Tuesday. We are expecting most swimmers will be at Monday with having the parents meeting that night. Time trials will be from 6-8:30. Please only attend one night. Monday will most likely go the whole time. Tuesday night could end sooner than 8:3 depending on how many kids attend on Monday

Parents meeting
The parents meeting will be held on Monday night at 6 pm in rooms A104/A105. We will be discussing a lot of important pieces of information such as meets, volunteering, the script program, clothing sales, and much more. It is very important that you attend.

Intersquad meet
The meet will he held on Thursday night. Everyone that is interested in attending should arrive at 6. We will have everyone in teams by 6:15. It is very important to arrive on time. This will be like a practice meet. We will have the pool set up like a meet with the touch pads and the starting system. The night will go until 8:15

Applebees Breakfast-
The fundraiser will be held on Sunday November 6th from 8 am to 10 am. At this point, each family has purchased 4 tickets to attend unless notes other wise on your registration. If you would like to purchase another it will be $7.00 ahead of time, and $8.00 at the door. I am looking for volunteers to help me spear head this event. Anyone that is interested please let me know! I need help :)

Meet schedule and workers-
Over the next few weeks, a worker schedule will be put out for each meet of the season.  We need on average about 25 workers for a home meet and about 20 workers for an away meet.  Please understand we will need many helpers every meet.  If there is a meet that you know you will NOT be able to help out with, please let us know by October 20th by email at jlfswim@comcast.net or in note form to put in the coaches mailbox.  Consult the meet schedule so you are aware of the weekends.

We will definitely need some parents of athletes 12 & Under to learn some key skill training jobs.... Starter and stroke & turn.  Training for these two positions are offered by the league.  CAC is hosting a training session for those two jobs on Monday, October 24 @ 7:00 in the health room by the pool balcony.  Please consider attending and learning how to help out the team!
