Head Coach Position
Centennial Aquatic Club is seeking an experienced head coach to work with our swimmers and coaches, someone who has the energy, vision, and desire to continue to build upon our quality programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Building meaningful relationships with participants
- Hiring and supervising assistant coaches
- Conduct self in a professional, friendly, helpful, courteous and diplomatic manner
- Have lifeguarding and CPR certification
- Attends up to three Suburban Aquatic League Meetings
- Creates and completes roster and submit to league, updates if needed
- Weekly communication with assistant coaches
- Be on deck before swimmers begin practice to greet swimmers and parents
- Creating coaches schedule for the season
- USA meet entry submission
- USA coaching at meets
- Will enter dual meets into computer
- Availability to be at meets on Saturdays
- Send in results to League each week for meets
- Availability to be at practice 1-2 times a week for younger swimmers
- Availability to be at practice 3-4 times a week for older swimmers (HS)
- Conduct evaluation of gender, assistant and high school coaches
- Developing USAS and SAL age group and senior level swimmers
- Maintaining records
- Determining meet lineups
Head Coach Qualifications:
- Are 21 years of age or older
- Have knowledge of and experience in competitive swimming
- Have 1+ years of experience working with children (professional, volunteer, or familial)
- Can be a positive role model for our swimmers
- Are able to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen
- Must possess a strong understanding of all four swim strokes.
Experience in the following areas are a plus:
- Computer skills
- Meet Manager software
- Team Unify
- Communication
Job Type: Part-time/seasonal
Successfully passing a criminal background check is required.
