Centennial Athletics Community Association (CAC)

2023/24 Season Begins Tomorrow

Michael Lepouski

UPDATED Dive starts next week as well - High School, blue and orange groups are this week.

Hello everyone and welcome to the new season with CAC.

For those of you who do not know me - my name is Michael Lepouski - I am the president of the Centennial Aquatic Club. We will be starting practices this week for high school, orange group, blue group and dive members.

Any new athlete if you could come Monday 9/11 at 6 to be evaluated by the coaches; if you are not able to attend Monday the coaches would like for you to come on Thursday to be evaluated.

Just some quick items to go over

  • We need parents help. Especially on days of swim meets - more information about volunteer information will be coming. Here is a link to our parent's code of conduct: https://www.centennialaquaticclub.org/Agreement.jsp?team=salcac&key=65bd9199-24da-4cc6-afd9-935a948d4d56
  • For practices we are being told from the centennial district that we do NOT have use of the lockers; so please no one use these. Swimmers can use the bathrooms next to the cafe or the one before the pool deck.
  • If you are new to CAC - it is recommended that the swimmers bring a towel, water bottle, goggles, swim caps, and flippers.
  • NO PARENT is allowed on the pool deck while lessons or training is happening.  Parents of younger children can come in and help the child get ready - but must leave the pool deck during the sessions. All parents are welcome to go to the upper deck to watch the sessions.
    • Only coaches and board members are allowed on the deck during sessions.
    •  This is VERY important. This is not just a rule to make sure your child is paying attention - it does help, but it is a very important safety rule.
  • Reminder - respectful behavior from all swimmers is required. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave and not return without refunds.
    • It is important that your swimmer treat the coaches/instructors with respect and the other swimmers.
    • We will discuss behavior with the swimmer if incidents occur, and if incidents are extreme or repeated they will be asked to leave.
    • Appropriate behavior is neccessary from our swimmers. Here is a link to our athlete's code of conduct: https://www.centennialaquaticclub.org/Agreement.jsp?team=salcac&key=21c1064b-94bc-4bbc-b3b0-6e3ac58c491d
  • Reminder – please do not approach coaches during swim times. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, please talk to a board member. If preferred, you can also discuss with Mark (the head coach) before or after practice
  • Reminder - it is recommended that swimmers are ready at start times - so please come a few minutes early to get prepped.
    • Here is a link to the schedule (NOTE Dive, Lessons and Jr Swim start next week): https://www.centennialaquaticclub.org/page/swimmingdiving/practice-schedule

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
