Groupings
 

Lessons (Ages 4 and Up): 

  • Lesson based format two nights a week for 6 weeks.

  • Practices are Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:15-6:00 PM. 

  • A coach will always be in the water with the athletes. The coach to athlete ratio is 1 to 3 generally. Benches are put into the water to help children to stand without their head being under the water. 

  • Lessons Athletes are invited to participate in all Team Activities

  • REQUIREMENTS: Potty trained, can put face in water, and separate from parent. 

Jr Swim (Ages 6 and Up): 

  • Lesson based format two nights a week for 6 weeks.

  • Practices are Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:15-6:00 PM.

  • Lessons Athletes are invited to participate in all Team Activities

  • At the time of conclusion, if both parties feel the child is prepared enough to continue on, they will move up to Blue Group and assume two Blue Group payments and the team administrative fee. 

  • REQUIREMENTS: Kids who are not quite  ready for competitive swimming but just need a little help getting to blue group

Blue Group (Usually ages 8-10):

  • Practices are offered 5 days a week Monday through Thursday (6:00-7:00 PM) and then Saturday mornings (11:00 AM -12:00 PM).

  • Competitions will begin at the end of October and take place on Saturdays. 

  • Practices from November 11th to January will be announced at the beginning of November. 

  • Athletes are encouraged to attend 3x per week. Emphasis is on stroke technique as well as competitive starts and turns. 

  • Athletes will compete in Suburban Aquatic League dual meets and SAL Invitationals.

  • Athletes are invited to take part in all Team Activities.

  • Minimum requirement is to be able to complete a lap of the pool on their own. 

  • All athletes should have a cap, goggles, suit, flippers and a water bottle for practice. 

Orange Group (Usually 11 & Older):

  • Practices are offered 5 days a week Monday through Thursday (7:00-8:30 PM) and then Saturday mornings (9:30-11:00 AM). 

  • Practices from November 11th to January will be announced at the beginning of November. Competitions will begin at the end of October and take place on Saturdays. 

  • Athletes are encouraged to attend 3-4x per week. Emphasis is on stroke technique as well as competitive starts and turns. 

  • Athletes will compete in Suburban Aquatic League dual meets and SAL Invitationals.

  • Athletes are invited to take part in all Team Activities.

  • Minimum requirement is to be able to complete a lap of the pool on their own. 

  • All athletes should have a cap, goggles, suit, flippers, snorkel and a water bottle for practice. 

High School PreSeason (Usually 14 & Up):

  • Practices are on Monday-Thursday (3:00-5:00 PM).

  • Athletes are encouraged to attend 4x per week. 

  • Emphasis is on stroke technique as well as competitive starts and turns. 

  • Athletes will compete in Suburban Aquatic League dual meets on Saturdays 

  • Athletes are invited to take part in all Team Activities. 

  • All athletes should have a cap, goggles, suit, flippers, a snorkel and a water bottle for practice. 

Beginner Diving (Usually 5 & Older):

  • No experience required!

  • Practice is two nights a week with competitions starting at the end of October. 

  • Practices are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights (5:30-6:15 PM) 

  • The programs focuses on fundamentals of diving. 

  • Athletes will compete in Suburban Aquatic League dual meets (either Friday night or Saturday). 

  • Athletes are invited to take part in all Team Activities. 

  • A suit and water bottle is required for practice. 

Advanced Diving (Usually 8 & Older):

  • Diver must have experience diving and must be able to execute at least 2 types of dives

  • Practice is two nights a week with competitions starting at the end of October. 

  • Practices are Monday and Wednesday nights (5:30-6:45 PM)  and Fridays (6:15-7:30)

  • The programs focuses on improving upon diving skills. 

  • Athletes will compete in Suburban Aquatic League dual meets (either Friday night or Saturday). 

  • Athletes are invited to take part in all Team Activities. 

  • A suit and water bottle is required for practice.
