CAC Weekly 11/27

Michael Lepouski

Hi CAC families!

We hope you all had a wonderful break and holiday. This week we'll be back into full swing with practices, meets, and an invitational! Sorry for the delay today - recovering from that Eagles game - GO BIRDS!

Please see below for important information, and as always feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1.   Odd Age Invitational:   Please sign up   here,   by 11/29 . It  is on December 10th and is our biggest fundraising event of the year.    We ask that every swimmer participate and that every parent volunteers. The cost for CAC families is $20 per swimmer, for up to four individual events. Swimmers can decide which events they want to participate in, but the charge will be the same regardless of whether they swim in one event or four. More information has been posted   here. If you have any questions/comments, please reach out to Jaime.
2. We are asking for concession donations for odd age as well. Please sign up   here.
3.   We are still seeking a volunteer to be the boys' rep. You can shadow Laura this year, so you know what to do.
4.   We need your help! Do you know of a business that wants their business advertised in front of families from all across Bucks County? If so, ask them to sponsor our odd-age invitational! For more information, reach out to Nicole at   [email protected] or send them this link:  https://www.centennialaquaticclub.org/controller/cms/admin/index#/my-event-fundraising. Please also share the sponsor post on   Facebook !
5. We are having a team bonding/fundraiser at Urban Air on December 17th. We're hoping to have a great turnout, as UA is offering a 20% donation back to CAC. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time   here (and is recommended to ensure that you can get in the door) or at the door (if there is still room). Time slots sell out fast, so please don't hesitate! They promised to stream the Eagles game for us too! Please share the flyer (attached) as well as the Facebook   event with your family and friends!!   They just need to say they are with CAC when they check in, for us to get the credit.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Thanks again for all the volunteering and support from all the parents in CAC. I do want to remind you if you cannot make a meet - either the diver/swimmer or the volunteer - please let the dive, boy, or girl rep (Erin, Renee or Laura) know ASAP. We have had to react to no-show participants the past couple of meets and it impacts everything that is scheduled for the day of the meet. Renee and Laura send out the full list of volunteers and swimmers weekly - if you are not getting these emails let us know. If something has changed around your eligibility that is ok - but we need to know as soon as possible; we don't want to have to fine anyone.
One more important note - we have had swimmers leaving practice mid practice and not letting the coaches know. If your swimmer needs to use the rest room or has something else come up PLEASE let them know they need to notify the coaches - it is a safety concern when the coaches do not know where a swimmer is who was previously on the swim deck. This also applies to meet days. Again this is a safety concern to not know where a swimmer is - but it also leads to delays in the meets. Swimmers are not permitted to leave the swim deck during meets - again if they have an issue - they NEED to let the coaches or bench parent know. If this occurs again we are going to let the parents know and discuss options going forward.

Thanks
Mike Lepouski
