CAC Weekly 1/22

Hi CAC families! – The swim league champs are this weekend. To all those invited have a great time and good luck!!!!

I want to share my utmost thanks to all the coaches this year. You all have been so great, and we really appreciate all that you have done for us. It shows how well you are at your job – I was watching swimmer after swimmer hit personal best all weekend long. Also been hearing a lot about how awesome dive team did this weekend as well. THANK YOU coaches!

Please read below – there is some important information around the upcoming year end celebration and extended swim.

Here is the practice schedule for the week.

Announcements:

• Our end of the year party will be Monday February 5^th 6-8. We will be meeting in the cafeteria. We will have snacks and drinks, but if families want to bring something to eat for themselves, they may. After the café the pool will be open for families for a free swim. Parents must be always in the water with small children.
• BOARD POSITIONS:
  • Booys' rep. This is important – please let me know if you are interested – this is a NECESSARY position for next year. Laura is willing to help anyone who volunteers for this position – please reach out to her or myself. I REALLY CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GET THIS POISTION FILLED. Look for some more information to come from Laura.
  • Also, if there are other positions that you are interested in running for the board, let me know.
• Extended swim – We will be offering an extended swim as we have enough coaches. Look for registration to be open this week – keep an eye on our facebook post for when this is open. Details Below:
  • There are no meets – its just practices; its used just to keep your child in the pool swimming.
  • It will start on Wednesday February 21 and end on Thursday March 21.
  • It will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  • Blue Group 6-7; Orange Group 7-8
  • Cost will be $125
  • Any other questions feel free to reach out.

  • $20 a block. Payout is the following: 1st $125, 2nd $250, 3rd $125, 4th $500

Division Champs Wrap Up:

Swimming: 

We want to congratulate everyone who participated in the Division Championship Meet this weekend. There were a ton of swimmers who set their personal best this past weekend – what an accomplishment by all that were involved.

Dive:

Wow – some awesome work by the dive team this weekend at the Championships. We had several divers who placed at the championship.

Swimming League Championship is on 1/28 at North Penn high school. Boys meet is at 9:00; girls meet is at 3:15 – once we have more information (like warmup times, etc) we will pass that along. Please reach out to Renee ([email protected]) or Laura ([email protected]) if you have ANY questions.
