UPDATE to start of season: CAC Welcome to 2024 2025

Michael Lepouski

Hellos Everyone - some updates:

  • CSD has informed me today that we cannot use the pool next week 9/16
    • What this means is there is no swimming next week.
    • We will start on Monday 9/23 - evaluations for new swimmers will be Monday 9/23; please arrive at 5:45
  • HS program - unfortunatly due to Coach MKs availability there will be no High School presason on Saturdays; just Monday through Thuersdays 4:30-6.

I am truly sorry for this change to schedule - I promise you I will be better going forward to not have these type of changes come out like this.

Thanks

Mike

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in getting out this message. I am still having some issues with the email tool on the site – so this email is going out to everyone.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 season. The board and I are really looking forward to a great year.

For those of you who do not know me - my name is Michael Lepouski - I am the president of the Centennial Aquatic Club.

Any new athlete if you could come Tuesday 9/17 Monday 9/23 at 5:45 to be evaluated by the coaches; if you are not able to attend that Tuesday, please let us know.

Important Information

  • Parent Support
    • We need our parents’ help. Especially on days of swim meets - more information about volunteer information will be coming. Here is a link to our parent's code of conduct: https://www.centennialaquaticclub.org/Agreement.jsp?team=salcac&key=65bd9199-24da-4cc6-afd9-935a948d4d56
    • We are in desperate need of two additional Board members. The Secretary position and the Promotions position still need to be filled.
      • Secretary would create weekly communications with the club members and taking and posting the monthly board meeting notes.
      • Promotions would be in charge and any fund-raising activities and fun team events.
  • For practices we are being told by the centennial district that we do NOT have use of lockers; so please no one use these. Swimmers can use the bathrooms next to the cafe or the one before the pool deck.
  • If you are new to CAC - it is recommended that the swimmers bring a towel, water bottle, goggles, swim caps, and flippers.
  • NO PARENT is allowed on the pool deck while lessons or training is taking place.  Parents of younger children can come in and help the child get ready - but must leave the pool deck during the sessions. All parents are welcome to go to the upper deck to watch the sessions.
    • Only coaches and board members are allowed on the deck during sessions.
    •  This is VERY important. This is not just a rule to make sure your child is paying attention - it does help, but it is a very important safety rule.
  • Reminder - respectful behavior from all swimmers is required. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave and not return without refunds.
  • Reminder – please do not approach coaches during swimming times. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, please talk to a board member. If preferred, you can also discuss with Mark (the head coach) before or after practice
  • Reminder - it is recommended that swimmers are ready at start times - so please come a few minutes early to get prepped.
  • Jr Swim/Lessons Unfortunatly we still do not have enough volunteers to hold a Jr Swim program or a Lesson program this year. We are actively seeking High School volunteers if you have any please feel free to have them reach out to us.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
