Michael Lepouski

Hello Centennial Aquatic Club Parents/Guardians!

Welcome to week 4. Only two more weeks for our spring clinic. Nothing really to add for this week - see below for regular reminders - cooperation has been great on these - and I thank you for that. This allows us to really focus on the swimmers and keeps our relationship with facilities on good terms. NOTE: No lessons/pracice on Tuesday May 16th - the building is closed.

Feel free to reach out to me with any concerns/challenges/questions.

There are some updates/reminders below:

  • Reminder - respectful behavior from all swimmers is required. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave and not return without refunds.
    • It is important that your swimmer treat the coaches/instructors with respect and the other swimmers.
    • We will discuss behavior with the swimmer if incidents occur, and if incidents are extreme or repeated they will be asked to leave.
  • Locker Rooms - Unfortunatly at this time locker rooms are NOT to be used by any swimmers or parents.
    • If a swimmer needs to change they can use the rest rooms by the cafeteria.
    • PLEASE do not change your swimmer on the pool deck - even if they are a young swimmer - they cannot change on the pool deck.
    • Note - this is not a CAC decision - this is by command of the Cenennial School Board and will be re-evaluated for the fall. But even in the fall if given permission for swimmers - no parent will be allowed in the locker room.
  • NO PARENT is allowed on the pool deck while lessons or training is happening.  Parents of younger children can come in and help the child get ready - but must leave the pool deck during the sessions. All parents are welcome to go to the upper deck to watch the sessions. We continue to have great cooperation with this and need that to continue.
    •  This is VERY important. This is not just a rule to make sure your child is paying attention - it does help, but it is a very important safety rule.
    • Only coaches and board members are allowed on the deck during sessions.
  • Reminder – please do not approach coaches during swim times. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, please talk to a board member. If preferred, you can also discuss with Mark (the head coach) before or after swim
  • Reminder - it is recommended that swimmers are ready at start times - so please come a few minutes early to get prepped.
    • Lessons will start at 5:30 and end at 6:15 - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
    • Diving instruction starts at 5:30 and ends at 6:30 - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
    • Orange and Blue groups are 6:30-7:45 - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
    • There will be a sign-in sheet. Please mark your child(ren) as present when you arrive
  • Please do not enter the workout gym or the basketball gym. This includes swimmers and parents/guardians.
Thank You All
Mike Lepouski
